ARISE is a three year program that is a parish-centered process of spiritual renewal and evangelization that enables people to deepen their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others. It is a response to Bishop Hoeppner’s Pastoral Letter, Meeting Christ-Living Christ. ARISE Season One: Encountering Christ Today, began in parishes the week of October 7th. Each person participating in the ARISE program needs to have a copy of this document as well as a copy of the booklet “ARISE Season One: Encountering Christ Today”:ARISE Supplement to Season OneThe questions for each session have been written to assist participants to reflect upon the pastoral letter. One idea passed along is that after the ARISE Season is over and groups wish to come together, they can go over the season or previous season’s pastoral letter questions. Also included in the document is additional reading which quotes a passage from the Catechism which offers further connection between our faith and the pastoral letter’s goals. ARISE Season Two: Change Our Hearts will begin the week of February 10. If groups begin meeting then, they will end the week before Holy Week. Pastoral Letter Questions for ARISE Season TwoARISE Trainings will take place before each of the new seasons and will be held for small community leaders and for the parish ARISE committees. Please refer to this website for updates for this Fall for Season Three: In the Footsteps of Christ Small Group Leader Training.
