The Bishop's Cup Fishing Tournament and Family Fishing Event was initiated in 2010 by Bishop Hoeppner, who wished for a day of friendly competition and fun for the people of the Diocese of Crookston. Parish, Knights of Columbus and other group teams compete for the Bishop's Cup trophy, which remains in the parish of the winning team until the following year. There is also a Youth Bishop's Cup competition for our young people. Families may participate at a Cup team competitive level, or simply come to spend the day fishing together to be part of the fun. Participation in this tournament is free. The tournament is held the second Saturday of June each year.
