The Bishop’s Guild is a recognition society of individuals who give to the Diocesan Annual Appeal at a level of $1200 or greater per year. Bishop Hoeppner has traditionally celebrated Mass with Guild members followed by a banquet or picnic at the Maple Lake in Mentor in late summer each year. It is a special time for Bishop Hoeppner to spend some personal time with members of the Guild. This past year in 2015, the Bishop hosted a picnic at the Chancery grounds in Crookston. Tours of the Chancery building (circa 1951), were conducted by Msgr. Roger Grundhaus, a noted Diocesan historian and Chad Ryan, Finance Officer of the Diocese of Crookston.

In 2015 there were 105 members of the Bishop’s Guild.Though this group represents only 3% of our givers, nearly 18% of all donations to the Diocesan Annual Appeal came from the Guild.

Your commitment to the Diocesan Annual Appeal sustains the Diocese of Crookston financially of course, but even more importantly, it sustains the heart and souls of our Pastors and Lay Ministers called to do the Lord’s work. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Bishop’s Guild (which you may do at any time during the 2016 Diocesan Annual Appeal), please contact:
