Mark Krejci appointed Deacon Formation Director

Bishop Michael J. Hoeppner has appointed Deacon Mark Krejci as the Director of Deacon Formation for the Diocese of Crookston. Deacon Krejci taught the Human Growth sequence in the deacon formation program from 1989 to 2004. He entered the formation program in 2012 and was ordained a deacon in June of 2017.
Deacon Krejci notes that the next Aspirancy Year begins in December and said, “I look forward to serving the next group of deacon aspirants over the coming year.”
The first year of deacon formation is the Aspirancy Year and is comprised of six Saturday sessions along with a call to prayer and spiritual reflection on the vocation of the diaconate. After the completion of this first year of formation, candidates then enter into a four-year sequence of theology courses and monthly weekend meetings for eight months of the year.
