The purpose of this manual is to help parishes implement the Background Check Policy. The manual does this in three ways:

• Provides additional clarification of the standards presented in the Background Check Policy.
• Details the types of background checks that will be done to comply with the Background Check Policy.
• Provides a list of instructions detailing how the background checks will be performed.
