The Diocese of Crookston Catholic Community Foundation (Foundation) is a separate, nonprofit corporation which is tax-exempt pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation manages investments for parishes within the Diocese of Crookston. The Foundation also manages a number of endowments. Some for the benefit of parishes and for the benefit of other needs throughout the local Church of Crookston such as the Education of Seminarians endowment. The Foundation also administers the Faith for Tomorrow Endowment (FFT) which makes grants to parishes for education needs.
As a Catholic organization, the Foundation draws the values, directions and criteria that guide its financial choices from the Gospel, universal Church teaching and by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). At the present time, investments are handled by Alerus Financial. The Foundation also makes loans to parishes within the Diocese.
