The Office of Formation in Discipleship is hosting a gathering for adults in the Diocese of Crookston focusing on authentic and practical ways we can minister to our young people in our homes, schools and churches.

This event, inspired by Pope Francis’ Exhortation, “Christus Vivit (Christ is Alive)” is ideal for ANYONE working with young people including, but not limited to parents, catechists, youth ministers, teachers, priests and all involved with ministry.

Some of the topics we will unpack are:

  • Authentic ways to engage our young people in faith and ministry.
  • Mentoring through developmental relationships.
  • Leveraging the strengths of the i-generation.
  • Creative approaches to catechesis.

This content of this day will be diverse, and applicable to those who minister to and mentor young people of all ages. The day will include keynote talks and breakout sessions.

Christ is Alive! will be presented by Doug Tooke. Doug is the Vice President of Ministry Advancement for ODB Films as well as an adjunct staff member with LifeTeen International.  Doug has over twenty years of professional ministry experience. He has traveled to over 100 Dioceses in the past twenty years teaching, keynoting conventions, and training youth ministers. He is a recipient of the National Catholic Youth Ministry Award from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry.
