Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) is hosting pro-life gatherings throughout the diocese in September and October. All are welcome to the free one-hour events that include a presentation in a casual atmosphere. Attendees will receive data on abortion in Minnesota and local counties, hear about a lawsuit seeking to overturn pro-life laws in Minnesota, gain understanding of recent nationwide abortion controversy and learn how to make a difference.
The events scheduled in the Diocese of Crookston are:
Roseau - Sept. 24, 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 402 11th Ave SE
Karlstad - Sept. 25, 9 a.m. at Nordhem Restaurant, 206 Main St S
Thief River Falls - Sept. 25, 1 p.m. at Black Cat Sports Bar and Grill, 1080 Hwy 32 S
Warren - Sept. 25, 7 p.m. at Warren Covenant Church, 112 N 6th St
Crookston - Sept. 26, 12 p.m. at Irishman's Shanty, 1501 S Main St
Bemidji - Sept. 26, 7 p.m. at St. Philip social hall, 702 Beltrami Ave NW
McIntosh - Sept. 27, 7 p.m. at the Community Center, 115 NW Broadway
Detroit Lakes - Oct. 21, 1 p.m. at Detroit Lakes Public Library, 1000 Washington Ave
Park Rapids - Oct. 21, 7 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle parish center, 305 W 5th St
MCCL is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization. It was founded in 1968 by a small group of citizens concerned about the effort to legalize abortion in Minnesota, MCCL has grown to include 70,000 members and 200 chapters across the state. MCCL is the Minnesota affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee.
The mission of MCCL is to secure protection for innocent human life from conception until natural death through effective education, legislation, and political action.
